FAQ

frequently asked questions

What distinguishes your gin from others?

Our gin is produced in small batches, lovingly crafted in Scotland from start to finish, by hand. Five of our six botanicals are hand-picked from the beautiful Rhidorroch Estate. We use pure loch water throughout the distillation process and in the final product.

Every bottle is made with care, passion, and deep connection to the land and glen that inspires us. We strive to capture the magic of a place that means everything to us, our family, and our friends—and we believe that’s what makes our small-batch gin stand out.

Where can I purchase your gin?

Direct Sales: Through our online shop. Please contact us at orders@rhidorrochdistillery.co.uk if you encounter any difficulties.

Retail Locations:

Our seasonal pop-up at The Seafood Shack
Rhidorroch Distillery, our new distillery bar and eatery opening July 2025 (For opening times please see information on the Contact Us page).
Various local shops, bars, and restaurants (see our stockist map below)

Do you produce other spirits?

Currently, our distillery’s size limits us to gin production. However, once we relocate to Ullapool, we plan to expand our range significantly. This move will provide the space and infrastructure needed for additional spirit production, so stay tuned, exciting things are on the way!

Are distillery tours available?

Unfortunately, our current distillery location in Glen Achall cannot accommodate public tours due to its remote setting and compact size. We know this might be disappointing and we appreciate your understanding.

The good news? Tours are on the horizon! Once we relocate our distillery to Ullapool, we’ll be welcoming visitors to take a look. For more information about our distillery move, please check out our Tours page.

Why does shipping costs increase with multiple bottles?

Each bottle is carefully wrapped using sustainable materials – beeswax paper and double-layered recycled cardboard packaging – to ensure it gets to you in one piece, just as it should.

The postage cost you see includes everything: the box, the beeswax wrap, and second-class postage. No hidden fees, no surprises – just good gin, packed with care.
